Northamptonshire Gardens Trust
The Trust aims to encourage greater awareness of gardens and their history.
To research, conduct surveys and record the county's gardens and parklands.
To promote co-operation between all interested parties in the care and conservation of our landscape.
To provide advice on the restoration and maintenance of historic gardens.
To provide members with a programme of visits, lectures and workshops.
The Northamptonshire Gardens Trust is an educational charity affiliated to the Association of Gardens Trust.
Since the 1980s Gardens Trusts have been established in almost all the counties of England and Wales, there are now more than 7,000 members nationwide.
Northamptonshire has a wealth of gardens, from the mediaeval deerparks, the great formal layouts of the 16th and 17th centuries and the landscaped parklands of Capability Brown and Humphry Repton to the more modern gardens of equal value.
